“Marching” through Proverbs

February 28, 2019

Hey folks!

So last year, I made an attempt to read the entire Bible in one year. Although I didn’t complete the journey, I wouldn’t say that it was an unsuccessful endeavor. I read more of the Old Testament than I ever have before. And that’s a personal win for me.

Why?

Well, for about half the year, I spent time studying and writing about the awesome Word of God every single day (except Sundays). I gained so much knowledge about the people written in the Scriptures than I ever knew before. And, I believe reading in the Old Testament helped me understand the Lord in a way I never had before.

Oh, what a stern yet loving God we serve!

So, yes...if I’m looking at the glass half full, I consider that a win. Now, I did allow life to derail me in the second half of the year. But, hey, I’m human. Stuff happens. I’m just grateful that I’m still here, I still have eyes to read, and I still have fingers that can type. Speaking of which...if you read my last Bible Journey entry, I promised that my next post would be about the Book of Proverbs.

So, here we go...

I’d like to devote the month of March to this amazing book of wisdom. After all, who couldn’t use more wisdom to get through life, especially nowadays? I know I can!

Since March has 31 days, I propose that we take just a few minutes each day to read just one chapter of Proverbs. And, by the end of the month, we will have read the entire book. So, what do you say? Will you join me?
